Is signing up free? Yes! Signing up is absolutely free! All we need is your email, password, and a few contact details, then you’re account would be good to go! Individual Users have the option of signing in with their Facebook account.
What’s the difference between an Organization Account and an Individual Account? Signing up as an Organization means you’re representing a body of people - profit, non-profit or academic. We may request some documents to confirm the authenticity of your organization. Otherwise, if you’re representing just yourself, sign up as an individual!
Do I need an account to create a campaign? Yes, we require users to sign in to create a campaign.
Do I need an account to give and donate? Nope, anyone can give! However we do recommend you to sign-up. Contributing to other campaigns earn you points that only signed-in users can use to **forward to other foundations.
What are the three types of Campaigns? You can create three kinds of Campaigns:
Flexible - These campaigns last until the launcher closes the campaign themselves. There is no due date and can last as long as the user wants it to, even if contributions are beyond the target amount.
Fixed - These campaigns end after a period of time set by the user.
**Money Jar - These campaigns have no target amount and no due date. A campaign can only be converted to a money jar campaign after the campaign has earned at least $1,000. **Campaigns will have to undergo approval before being published.
Are there any rules to creating campaigns? You can create a campaign for anything you wish, but we do have rules that needs to be followed. Any violations of the following will lead to the termination of your campaign:
Campaigns should have a reasonable goal amount based on your capacity to market your campaign within the campaign’s duration.
Campaigns should not have an aim that would harm others.
Campaigns should be authentic and should not be used just for play.
Campaigns should not have information that infringe upon the intellectual property, trade secret or other proprietary rights, or privacy of third parties.
How many campaigns can I create? As many as you want! But to control the flow of campaigns coming in, **we only allow a user to create up to 3 campaigns within 24 hours.
How do I end a campaign or delete a campaign? Both options can be found when you edit your campaign. Campaigns with contributions cannot be deleted by you.
Can I end a campaign, and open it again? Yes, but we discourage this as it may affect the transaction of your funds.
When do I receive my funds? Once the campaign has ended, give us 2-3 business days for the transaction of your funds.
Can I receive my funds while the campaign is ongoing? You may choose to claim part of the funds as long as the amount has reached at least 1,000$ or 50,000PHP.
Emergency! I need part of the funds withdrawn now! Is it possible? We kindly ask for you consideration and patience as transactions need to undergo a process. We discourage funds to be withdrawn when the campaign is not tagged as complete, but for requests, you may contact us.
If I didn’t reach the target amount when a campaign ends, will I still keep the amount raised? Yes, any amount raised before the campaign’s end date is still yours.
Can I withdraw funds below PHP1000? Yes, however, you will be issued a 20PHP check fee.
Can people from other countries contribute to my campaign? Of course!
Can I delete a campaign I created? Yes! Just edit your campaign and go ahead and click the delete option.
Giving and Points
What are the different payment options? Givers can pay via Paypal, offline deposit, Internet Banking, Bancnet, 7-Eleven, GCash, Smart, Credit Card, Cash/Pickup or payment center.
Can I give anonymously? Yes, you can appear anonymous to the public, but not the launcher. They might want to thank you!
If I contributed to a campaign and the launcher decides to delete the campaign, will I get a refund? Refunds would be under the responsibility of the launcher. Gava may compensate your loss of funds with points.
What are Points? Every time you donate, you earn a number of points that you can use to **forward to any foundation. These points are equivalent to a certain amount.
**How do I forward my points? You can forward your points any time via your User Profile.
Privacy and Security
Is it safe to use GAVA? Of course! We guarantee that your information is safe with us!
Can I choose not to display any information? For the sake of transparency, this option isn’t available.
Fees and Charges
Do I get 100% of the amount donated? A percentage of the contributed amount goes to the company for their services. For more details, see our pricing document.
