Children affected by the armed conflict in Marawi need our help! According to the United Children’s Fund (Unicef), around 50,000 children have been displaced from the fighting. They have left their homes and schools. Families have sought shelter in the houses of relatives, while some were forced to crowd into evacuation camps. In evacuation centers, they are exposed to health risks, from dehydration, sickness, and hunger.
The children of Marawi need food, clothes, toys, diapers, medicine, mosquito nets, sleeping materials, and much moral support to keep their health—and spirits--up. We need to raise funds that will help with the humanitarian efforts, especially in municipalities in Lanao del Sur where help is slower to come.
We are appealing to your generosity and compassion! We have reached out to the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Liaison Office in Metro Manila for advice and logistics support.
You can donate using PayPal, credit card, Bancnet, Smart Money, bank deposit, internet banking, G-cash, payment centers, and 7-Eleven.
Your gift, in whatever amount, is precious, and will be a great help!
The money raised will be used to buy relief goods. The ARMM Liaison Office in Metro Manila will ship the goods to an ARMM relief distribution center in Cotobato, from where there is some leeway to access areas outside of the reach of other relief agencies.
We hope that we shall all unite to bring sunshine back to the children of Marawi. Let us pray and work together to end the nightmare.
