Hi to ALL.

This fundraiser campaign is for my Uncle Romy Miranda.

In the second quarter of 2015, his creatinine level was at 376 and Doctor's prescribed medicines for 30 days. After 30 days, he went back to a hospital laboratory and found out it went up to 760 and so he shifted to herbal medicine. After taking the herbal in just one week, creatinine level went down 360 and so he continued taking it for several months.

Just last week ago, December 18, 2017, he had a heavy chest that leads him in hospital. After the lab test, Creatinine level is now 1060 which is the ESRD or End Stage Renal Disease due to his Kidney failure. Doctors identified root cause of all this is hypertension. Post consulting the Neprologist it was confirmed that the kidney function have deteriorated due to hypertension.

Over the past two years, he thought, everything is fine due to no symptoms is showing up like swelling, etc. He thought WRONG. His kidney disease has gotten worse, causing his kidneys not to work well enough to keep him a normal life.

His treatment options are limited to dialysis treatments or a kidney transplant.

As of now, he is currently undergoing dialysis, which is costly and not easy to undergo physically, emotionally, and financially. Getting regular dialysis treatments, usually happens twice a week for four hours, Wednesday and Saturday, will help his health not deteriorate. The Machine is the current kidney to clean his blood not to poison the other organs. According to study, a person that undergoes dialysis live up to 5 to 10 years, but a transplant would give him a great chance to continue to live a longer, healthier, more normal life. Four years of dialysis is equivalent of the transplant, and dialysis is forever.

During this difficult time, a fortunate thing happened. One of his friends has volunteered to donate one kidney to my Uncle. A series of testing for compatibility will be tested soon that will cost financially before the operation.

The cost of donor evaluation and surgery is not also covered by his HMO. The Hospital is anticipating approximately 40,000 USD for kidney transplant surgery. Please help him to get his surgery done and meet some post-surgery expenses.

Any help you can give to my uncle, no matter how much, will be greatly appreciated and much needed.

And please include him in your prayers, because miracles happens even if you’re not a believer.

Thank you
